Active Care was born from the heartfelt vision and shared experiences of Aimee and Isaac, who came together with a powerful mission to make a difference in the lives of young adults with disabilities. Their story is deeply personal and rooted in their own journeys of overcoming challenges and fostering connection.
For Isaac, growing up with a disability meant experiencing the painful reality of isolation and feeling like he didn’t quite belong. He knows first-hand what it's like to miss out or not be invited to participate in social activities, opportunities for adventure and meaningful connections that many take for granted. This deeply personal experience ignited a passion within him to create something transformative – a space where young adults with disabilities can feel truly seen, empowered, included and valued. Isaac’s passion for change became his driving force, and he set out to build a community that offers connection, joy, and support for others who may have felt the same.
Aimee, deeply attuned to Isaac’s experiences and the challenges he faced, recognised the profound need for a supportive and understanding environment. She saw how Isaac had been misunderstood throughout his life and felt a powerful calling to create a safe haven where people like him could feel a genuine sense of belonging and love. Her vision was to build a community that wasn’t just about support but about fostering real connections and joy. was driven by a deep desire to ensure that each individual felt seen, loved, and respected, believing that their disability should not be viewed as a limitation but as a unique ability. She witnessed first-hand how Isaac’s disability, far from being a burden, was his superpower, and she wanted to create a space where others could experience that same sense of empowerment and self-worth.
Together, Aimee and Isaac founded Active Care with a shared commitment to breaking down barriers and building a vibrant, inclusive community. They envisioned a place where young adults aged 16+ with mild to moderate disabilities could experience fun, adventure, and meaningful relationships. From social outings and exciting activities to memorable travel experiences, their programs are designed to empower individuals and create lifelong friendships.

My name is Isaac, a dedicated advocate for the disabilities sector, on a mission to inspire positive change. The quote 'I wouldn't change you for the world, but I'll change the world for you' resonates deeply with me, capturing my unwavering commitment.
From a young age, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. Growing up on the spectrum, I navigated a world that felt both intriguingly different and frustratingly misunderstood. As my books evolved from body atlases to nutrition guides and religious texts, I embarked on a quest to understand not only the world around me but also my own inner workings.
My passion for empowering others led me to delve into the realms of physical movement, mindset, nutrition, and compassionate care. This holistic approach is my compass, guiding individuals towards their fullest potential. I've witnessed the transformative power of these elements firsthand.
At 25, my life took on a new dimension with the arrival of my son, Achilles, who was diagnosed with non-verbal ASD 2. His journey, intertwined with mine, has illuminated my path in profound ways. Through his eyes, I've learned patience, empathy, and the unbreakable bonds of understanding. His autism, a blessing that continually shapes our lives, fuels my drive to create a world where he can thrive and be excepted.
My supportive wife, a compassionate partner who took the time to truly understand me, has been instrumental in my personal growth. Together, we've honed our ability to communicate and excel, igniting a shared purpose that propels us forward not only together but within our business.

Meet Sophie, a compassionate individual who found her calling in supporting people with disabilities through a unique and heartwarming journey.
My journey into the world of disability support was influenced by my early experiences. Growing up, I often accompanied my sister to her work as a disability support worker. From a tender age, I was taught the values of kindness and compassion. As I grew older, my understanding deepened, fuelling my passion to offer support and encouragement to those in need.
At 17, I stepped into the world of disability support, and since then, there's been no looking back.Beyond work, I've recently discovered a new passion in horseback riding. It has become a significant part of my life, occupying much of my spare time. When not in the stables, I find joy in spending quality moments with friends, family, and, of course, my cherished pets.
I'm a bit on the simple side when it comes to hobbies. I don't have any specific talents or pursuits. My focus lies in building genuine connections and meaningful relationships with those around me.
In my role, I aspire to make a genuine and lasting difference in people's lives. My goal is to contribute to their growth, fostering strength, independence, and respect. I want to empower individuals to embrace each day with love and fulfillment.
A quote that resonates deeply with me is "Not all those who wander are lost." It reflects my belief in the unique journeys each person takes, acknowledging the purpose and significance in every path.
While many refer to me as Sophie, my close friends have endearing nicknames for me—Sop or Ofie. These nicknames reflect the close bonds and shared camaraderie we enjoy.
